Choosing your wedding venue is a big decision and should be an exciting experience, here is what to expect during a tour at our luxury wedding venue in Suffolk!
On arrival, you’ll be greeted by our friendly events team who will give you an overview of what the tour will involve and also discuss with you what the goals for your wedding are before getting started ensuring your wedding is completely tailored to you.
View ceremony spaces
One of the most important aspects of your big day is the space you will say “I do” in. We have a range of options available for you to choose from at our wedding venue in Suffolk including an intimate space for those looking for a smaller wedding with close family and friends. Our Great Barn is the perfect space for all your friends and family to watch you marry the love of your life. With capacity for 100 guests during the ceremony and 120 for your reception, those who mean the most to you will be able to enjoy every aspect of your day.
If you’re dreaming of an outdoor ceremony, then the farmhouse garden is a beautiful option. The cobble brick walkway surrounded by fruit trees adds to the romantic feel and you won’t have to worry about the English weather as our team will also be able to discuss the options in the event of having to move the ceremony inside on your big day. Our team can line the aisle with whatever blooms you choose to make your day unique to you, we can also recommend a range of supplies including fabulous florists!
Walkthrough of photo opportunities and the grounds
We understand how important having stunning photos to remember your special day are which is why on our venue tour we will show you all the places that provide great photo opportunities as well as giving you a walkthrough of our beautiful grounds. If there is anywhere in particular you would like to view, please let our team know and we will be happy to include those areas on the tour. We will also take you to The Inglenook, a cosy outdoor fireplace perfect for post reception drinks, dancing into the night and perhaps even toasting some marshmallows!
We will also show you some previous wedding photography from weddings hosted at Retreat East to give you some inspiration for your special day, although each wedding we’ve hosted has been tailored to each couple. If you are unsure on where to start when it comes to selecting photographers, our team can provide you with a list of recommended suppliers to help.
View available accommodation options
One of the benefits of choosing Retreat East is that we have plenty of space for guests to stay (up to 68) before or after your wedding day, depending on the package you choose. During the tour, our team will show you available accommodation options so you can get a feel for where your guests will be unwinding and resting their heads after your special day. All our accommodation packages include continental breakfast and our spa facilities will be accessible for your guests to enjoy. If you’d like to add themed favours or welcome packs to your guests rooms, our team can help facilitate this so your wedding is completely tailored to you and your husband or wife to be.

After your tour of the venue of course you’ll want to discuss the pricing of each of our package options. We will take you through each offer and discuss what is included and the add ons available. Whether you opt for our evening buffet or wood fired pizza van, your guests are sure to be well fed throughout the day following a 4 course wedding breakfast. There are also upgrades available on drinks.

Following your tour, our team will show you some photos of previous setups for weddings to give you an idea of what can be achieved and how you can utilise the space to create your perfect day. We will show you different setups including variations of colours, flowers and seating to get your wedding creativity in full swing!

At the end of your visit to us, you’ll have the opportunity to ask any additional questions that haven’t been covered during your tour. You can then secure your wedding date and get booked in for your menu tasting to choose the delicious dishes you and your guests will enjoy on your big day.
