For many of you who have followed our journey over the years, you'll know that Retreat East has been a project filled with passion, commitment and a vision which has quickly turned into an exciting reality.
From the initial takeover of a once derelict Suffolk farm to the careful renovation of its original dwellings. The magnificent development of The Great Barn restaurant, spa and, most recently, the addition of six fabulous Element Spa Barns. Seeing so many guests experiencing our little slice of Suffolk has been marvellous.

We're incredibly excited to announce the latest expansion project - The Shepherd Huts! From 1st June 2023, five extraordinary Shepherds Huts will be added to our existing collection of heavenly hideaways.
These unique and custom-made properties will be the perfect romantic escape for two. Boasting a luxurious king-sized bed, wood-burning stove and spacious ensuite. These country-chic properties will be tastefully decorated to match our existing portfolio and will be filled with all of the luxuries our other properties are accustomed to.
The space has been thoughtfully designed inside each hideaway hut to create an inviting, tranquil and relaxing environment. Positioned toward our existing field barns, the Shepherd Huts will each have a private decking area with views over the Suffolk meadows - perfect for an evening of stargazing.
This latest expansion offers the ultimate escape for any romantic and a new and unique experience at Retreat East.
